Also the news that Paymob, an Egypt-based FinTech start-up that provides payment services and APIs that enable online and offline businesses to accept and send payments, has raised $18.5 million USD in Series A funding in a round led by Global Ventures, Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission issued a directive on the “proliferation of unregistered online investment and trading platforms” in the country. The directive states that foreign shares should not be traded by these platforms, and so on are introduced.
