Junichi Fukuoka

Junichi was involved in a number of projects at Mitsui & Co.
Until 2007, he was a member of the Project Division, where he was engaged in planning, feasibility assessment, business plan development, contract negotiation, financing, correspondence with related ministries and agencies, and construction management. New projects were in LNG, natural gas, power generation, water, infrastructure, renewable energy, emission rights, bio-chemicals, and environment, etc., in Japan and abroad, with his areas of responsibility including Asia (including China and India), the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc.), Russia, CIS, and Africa.
Since 2008, he has been in the Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Foodstuffs, and Food Products Division, where he has been engaged in new business investment, renewal of aging businesses, and handling disputes, mainly in resource-rich countries in North and South America, the Middle East, Africa, and other regions.
He was also in charge of transferring business investment know-how, designing systems, and training professional managers.
After retiring from Mitsui, he continued to be involved in CN-related businesses such as biomass power generation, hydrogen, and fuel ammonia, both in Japan and overseas.
Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Tokyo.
